The Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology-Pathology is a two-year professional postgraduate degree program affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), designed to provide specialized advanced training in pathological laboratory sciences for BSc MLT graduates. This comprehensive program combines intensive theoretical knowledge with extensive practical training to develop expert medical laboratory technologists capable of leading specialized clinical laboratories and advancing healthcare delivery systems.

Curriculum: The program covers 6 specialized papers including Haematology, Histopathology, Clinical Pathology & Cytogenetics, Cytology, Blood Banking & Immunopathology, Laboratory Organization with Quality Control & Recent Advances in Pathology, and mandatory dissertation work. The curriculum emphasizes health administration, leadership, quality assurance, management, and health informatics.
Training Approach: Intensive didactic lectures with discussions, weekly seminars and journal clubs, case presentations, tutorials and group discussions, minimum 6 seminar presentations and 6 journal club presentations per student, clinical laboratory practices in hospital subspecialties, specialized training visits to reputed national and international institutions, and supervised dissertation research work with comprehensive documentation.
