Institutional Research Committee
The Institutional Research Committee (IRC) at KMCT College of Allied Health Sciences is established to uphold the highest standards of ethics, safety, and scientific validity in all research activities conducted under the institution. The committee plays a critical role in reviewing and approving research proposals involving human subjects, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and regulatory norms.
The IRC evaluates research projects submitted by students and faculty from all departments, focusing on aspects such as scientific merit, methodological rigor, and participant safety. It also ensures that informed consent, confidentiality, and ethical data handling practices are followed throughout the research process.
Research activities at the college are actively monitored and supported by the Institutional Research Coordinator, appointed by the Directorate of Research, KMCT Group of Institutions. The coordinator works in close coordination with the IRC to guide researchers through the proposal process, facilitate ethical compliance, and promote a research culture rooted in academic integrity and social relevance.
Through regular meetings, training sessions, and ethical oversight, the IRC ensures that all research proposals undergo proper review and receive approval prior to initiation, reinforcing the college’s commitment to ethically sound and impactful scientific inquiry.
